Essex County Low Level Offender Detention Facilility, Delaney Hall, Not so Safe After All

Two men were charged with murder after they allegedly strangled and beat a fellow inmate in the Delaney Hall detention facility for low-level offenders. The Essex County NJ Correction center is adjacent to Delaney Hall. Inmates at the hall have bail set at $75,000 or less. In this case, the victim was being held as a result of $800 in unpaid traffic violations. The alleged assailants were charged with drug and weapons charges.

The moral of the story is get out of jail as quickly as you can.
